AI visibility tracker
AI search visibility for local businesses: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, checked monthly and reported under your logo. Included in every LocalPulse report.
A growing share of “who should I call” questions are now asked to an assistant instead of typed into Google. The assistant answers with two or three names. If your client is not one of them, the enquiry goes elsewhere and nothing in a rankings report shows it happened.
LocalPulse asks the assistants the same questions a customer would, once a month, for every client property, and reports the answer next to the Google Maps grid: named or not, on which engines, described how, and who was named instead.
ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, each with a clear yes or no for the client's core local questions.
The wording the assistant uses, so you can see whether it has the right category, area and services in mind.
The competitors the assistants recommend for the same question. Usually the same three that own the map pack, sometimes not.

We took the Google Maps top 10 for 50 UK local searches, 500 businesses, and asked the four assistants the same questions. 26 percent of those businesses were ever named. Being first on Google Maps did not guarantee a mention; having a clear website, consistent details and recent reviews did more. The full breakdown by trade, city and engine is in the UK AI visibility study.
The practical point for an agency: the work that gets a business named by an assistant is the same local SEO work you already sell. The report makes it visible, and billable.
AI search visibility is part of every LocalPulse report at £15 per client property per month, alongside the local rank tracker, the Google Maps grid and the white-label report. Agencies typically charge £99 to £199 per client for the report; the price is yours to set.
For each client we ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews the questions a customer would ask, for example "who is a good emergency plumber in Leeds", and record whether the business is named, how it is described, and which competitors are named instead. Every month, per client.
No. AI search visibility is a section in every LocalPulse report, included in the £15 per property price. There is no add-on and no credit cost.
Tools like Profound, Peec or Otterly track brand mentions for national companies across thousands of prompts, priced accordingly. LocalPulse tracks one local business for the handful of local questions that bring it customers, and puts the answer in the client's monthly report.
Sometimes. In our study of 500 UK local businesses in the Google Maps top 10, 26 percent were ever named by an AI assistant. The businesses that were named had clear service pages, consistent details across directories and recent reviews.
Report it, first: clients are already asking. Then work the fix plan: the profile, page and citation changes that make a business legible to the assistants are the same ones that move the Google Maps grid.
