1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of LocalPulse (localpulse.digitalizer.uk). By paying for a scan, creating an account, or subscribing to our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

LocalPulse is a product of Digitalizer Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15267581). Throughout these terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Digitalizer Ltd, and "you" refers to you, the user or subscriber.

2. Service description

LocalPulse offers two related services for small UK businesses.

£20 ranking scan (one-time). A single paid scan that checks your business's visibility on Google search, Google Maps (49-point heatmap around your business location), and AI search (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews). Results are typically delivered within 5-10 minutes by email and on a dashboard. The scan results are yours to keep. No subscription is required to run a scan. After your scan completes, you can optionally start a weekly tracking subscription from your dashboard.

£49/month weekly tracking subscription (optional). If you subscribe after running a scan, we re-run the same scan automatically every 7 days. Each weekly tick includes:

Google search rank checks -your business's position in Google search results (regular listings and the map listings) for the keywords you track.

Google Maps grid scans -the 49-point Maps heatmap around your business, so you can see how your Maps visibility changes week by week.

AI search re-checks -citation and ranking checks across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.

Dashboard access -a web dashboard where you can view ranking trends, Maps heatmap history, AI search history, and keyword data.

We may add, modify, or remove features from time to time. We will notify subscribers of significant changes by email.

3. Account registration and security

To use LocalPulse, you must create an account with a valid email address. After your first purchase, we send you a password setup link by email. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information when paying for a scan or subscribing. Each account covers one business and one website. If you need to track multiple businesses, you will need separate accounts.

4. Pricing and payment

£20 scan. A one-time payment charged at the time you start the scan. There is no subscription or recurring charge attached to the scan itself.

£49/month subscription. Billed monthly to the card you enter when you subscribe (Stripe shows a new payment form on the subscribe step; we do not reuse the card from your £20 scan). All prices include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details -they are handled entirely by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

When you subscribe from your dashboard, your first £49 payment is deferred until your most recent scan data is approximately 7 days old, so you do not pay for tracking that would only repeat data you already have. You can override this and start billing immediately by choosing "Scan now" on the subscribe page. After the first charge, your subscription renews automatically each month on the same date. You can cancel at any time (see section 5 below).

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge in accordance with Stripe's retry schedule. If payment cannot be collected after multiple attempts, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled.

We reserve the right to change the subscription price. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price will apply from your next billing cycle after the notice period. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel before it takes effect.

5. Cancellation and refund policy

£20 scan refunds. If a scan fails (for example, our retry attempts cannot complete the scan), we automatically refund the £20 charge in full. Once a scan completes and the results are delivered to your dashboard, the £20 charge is non-refundable.

Subscription cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible from your dashboard settings page. Cancellation stops future charges -you keep full access to the service for the remainder of the current billing period and then service ends. Past monthly charges are not refunded. We do not provide partial or pro-rata refunds.

We may, at our sole discretion, issue goodwill refunds in exceptional circumstances. This is not an entitlement and each case is assessed individually.

After your subscription ends, your account data (keywords, ranking history, Maps heatmap history, AI search history) will be retained for 90 days in case you choose to re-subscribe. After that, we may delete it.

6. Data accuracy disclaimer

LocalPulse relies on third-party data providers, including Google and DataForSEO, to deliver ranking data, search volume estimates, and local search results. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data.

Search rankings change frequently and can vary based on location, device, personalisation, and other factors outside our control. The positions we report are snapshots taken at specific times from specific locations and may not exactly match what you see when you search manually.

Search volume figures are estimates provided by third-party databases and should be treated as approximate. We present this data to help you make informed decisions, but we cannot be held responsible for business decisions made based on it.

7. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding on LocalPulse are owned by Digitalizer Ltd or used under licence. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the service without our written permission.

The data we generate for your account (ranking reports, Maps heatmaps, AI search citation reports) is yours to use for your own business purposes. You may share your own reports internally or with your marketing team. You may not resell or commercially redistribute the data or reports.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LocalPulse in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or could damage the service or its infrastructure. In particular, you must not attempt to access other users' data, reverse-engineer or scrape the service, use automated tools to interact with the service beyond normal browser use, or submit false or misleading information during signup.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if we reasonably believe you are violating these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digitalizer Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data, or loss of goodwill.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 3 months immediately preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

10. Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Our privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR. Our cookie policy covers the cookies and tracking technologies used on our site.

By using LocalPulse, you acknowledge that your business data (website URL, business name, location, keywords, and ranking results) is stored in our cloud database hosted in the London region. This data is used solely to provide the service to you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Minor changes (such as correcting typos or clarifying language) may be made without notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
